I used anime with oil painting, it's a school boy walking thorugh a meadow

I just drew my old friends from my middle/junior high school
I made this one up, His name is Death
I drew my friends again but as freshmen in high school
I entered this artwork in my first contest which is called "Walking on Water", I got second place.

My name is Steven Chou. I am 15 years-old, and I am a sophmore in high school. I am Chinese and my parents came from Taiwan. My hobby is art, anime is my favorite type of art.I improve my drawings on anime by watching them the shows and analyzing the deatils of the character, background, and story.I make my own manga with the computer software called Manga Studio 4 Debut, along with my Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet.For my personal experience from using the Wacom Pen Tablet is that it’s harder to draw than just drawing on paper with a pencil, and you look at the computer screen while you draw rather than looking at the paper.My top 5 interests in Art is Anime, Still Life, Painting(mostly like painting with tempera paint, but I also had experience with oil and acrylic paint before), sculpture, and soft/hard pastel.I started liking Art since I was 5 years old, my grandmother told me that I always pull out a clean sheet of paper and a pencil, and started drawing while watching television. I like to draw on my free time, listen to music while I’m drawing because it keeps me comfortable and relaxed, and as I said before I like to draw while watching anime or cartoons. I practiced drawing some of my favorite anime characters, and I know this is funny but I actually dressed up as one of my favorite anime character for Halloween which was Itachi Uchiha. Also make my own anime characters, and mostly like to draw my friends and me together as anime characters. Friends,classmates, and teachers had all commented me before that I have talent for drawing.My life in school was fun, I had been to alot of schools because my family had moved many times before. The languages that I’m able to speak is Chinese, English, and a little bit of Spanish because I took Spanish 1 and 2 in my middle/junior high school year. The courses that I’m taking now are Chemistry( which is fairly easy for me), English 10 CP, Geometry, P.E., Chinese(Mandarin), and European History AP(Advance Placement). My favorite activities are drawing(as I mentioned before), practicing my alto saxophone, and playing tennis. I going to try for my school’s tennis team, and I am going to join my school’s band before I graduate from high school.For my family; I have a little sister named Vivian also known as SkateGirl and she is also entering the talent show. Both of my parents are very hard working parents, I have a very young looking mother, and my dad has very broad shoulders. There’s also two loving grandparents. My uncle who works at stanford as a biologists, an aunt who is essential in computer technology, and they just had a child who was born a few months ago, she is so adorable. I have another aunt who has her very own child care center known as Happy Family Child Care Center, and another uncle who works as mangaer in a wine company and he does not drink. A cousin who is in loved in music, she likes to play the piano and sings wonderful, and her little brother who also into singing, piano, and loves to dance. My life at home is just doing homework, study SAT vocabulary words, eat, and sleep. If I have free time I do the things mentioned in the last section which is my favorite activites, except tennis which I wait until the weekends (unless there’s no school for the day). This is the second time that I typed this Blog because my first one I didn’t explain it thoroughly enough.“Thank You” I appreciate you taking your time to read through my Blog.

Hello Everyone! Hope all of you enjoyed my performance. I will continue to strive for excellence towards art. I believe I still need to improve my art by practicing more often. I want to thanks Ariel Ai-yi, and Peter Su-Su, especially Peter Su-su because he helped me hold my microphone throughout my performance.I’m really appreciate that my family came and supported me today! I’m also grateful that my friends also like my drawings. I’m glad that I have alot of people who like my drawings.
