David Bohm是當代著名的量子物理學家，一九八九年提到Wholeness and the Implicate Order理論－－提出「wholeness」這觀念，否定了原本將世界分解為隔離而獨立的眾多部分的古典觀念。世界之真相乃在於「不可分解的整體」，而不在於「獨立的個體」，他堅持實體的整體性、過程性及連續性，反對其片斷性、機械性和孤立性；將整體視為一個非靜止的，運動的、無終結的過程。這個觀點和佛教對宇宙、時空、運動、意識等的探討有它的相似性。

「可數的無限」與「不可數的無限」這兩個數量級的概念，在數學上，如果一個集合所包含的元素個數為無限多，但我們可以將這個集合的元素與正整數之間建立一個一對一的對應關係，則我們稱這個集合所包含元素個數的數量級為「可數的無限」。另一方面，如果一個集合所包含的元素個數其數量級遠高於正整數所形成的集合，以至於我們無法將這個集合的元素與正整數之間建立一個一對一的對應關係，則我們稱這個集合所包含元素個數的數量級為「不可數的無限」。在數學上，正整數、所有整數以及有理數所形成的集合均是「可數的無限」。另一方面，無理數以及實數所形成的集合則是「不可數的無限」。 就是說「可數的無限」這種看似不是問題的問題，左右了我們在宇宙、時空、運動、意識等的探討上，會走上有片斷性、機械性和孤立性的必然結論，不過卻是目前的顯學，小至個人思考，科學研究大至人類族群的相互隔離、分裂的現象都走這條路。 話說回來，幾千年前的人要解釋這種觀念有非常高的挑戰性，不要說「可數的整數」與「不可數的實數」，「無限」的概念也還是近代的事，只好一步一步來。

This problem, which is not clearly defined, has different answers due to various viewpoints. Your choice will depend on how you interpret it.

即使阿标解释了这么多关于wholeness,可数的无限还有不可数的无限，我似乎也没跟上他思维的跳跃。平面的漫画似乎有时不够有说服力。

隐隐约约地感觉，这幅漫画说明阿标是佛学和自然科学的研究者，体会到了佛学和自然科学的相似之处-wholeness和无限的概念。

此图中大叔观点非阿标大叔的观点，并且恰恰相反。

Do you know the thermodynamics and statistical physics - macro/micro views? State space? Convergent and divergent concepts? counting? number theory? group theory?

You need to think about it to get a clear understanding on the basic ideas, may be one day, you can light up suddenly.. good luck.

Plato, Kant, and many great philosohers, even, Lao-Tze's Tao can answer this problem. Therefore, study philosophy then read physics, you will be able to understand it...
