這首歌太久太久沒有聽到了，那天，在 shopping mall 買東西，隱約聽到這首歌，不由佇足，停下來，靜靜的聽完這首歌。1971由Carpenters 初唱，現在再回頭來聽， 有如時光隧道， 乍然跳過時與空， 回到了大學時期，迷著 舞會時必不可缺Tony Orlando and Dawn 的 “Knock Three Times” ， 男生一定要敲著腳後根，穿著包屁股的緊身牛仔褲才算酷。跳完了阿哥哥， Carpenters 的歌響起， 大家即刻能安靜下來， Karen Carpenter 的特殊魅力在她的歌聲中表現無疑， 一支又一支的放著， Close to You， Rainy Days and Mondays， A Song for You， Only Yesterday…一直到Superstar 支支動人， 絲絲入扣。唸大學的美麗年華也正是享受青春的時候， 從齊耳的妹妹頭及黑裙制服中解放出來， 不必扛著厚重書包上學了，人人手上都拿著精裝本，女生化個裝穿個迷你裙，頭髮愈留愈長， 時間一晃， 四年不小心就溜走了， 男友當了兵，只留下這首歌…

再聽這首歌時， 38 年後的今天，由我喜愛的黑人歌手 Luther Van Dross 來唱出，更能表達出這首歌的含義， 看著 Luther 唱歌的表情，他是這麼「快樂的享受」的全心投入他的靈魂， 絲毫不造作的舞蹈， 彷彿與他的呼吸、脈動與心跳合成一體， 不但是聽覺的嚮宴，更是視覺的享受， 再看看他的觀眾/聽眾吧， 只有五個字可以形容他們 - 如醉如痴啊。

走筆至此，投筆長嘆， 唉， 死得太早!  嘔心瀝血肝腸寸斷的演唱，他已不是一個普通一般的歌者， 而是一個藝術家哪!
